Instrumental analytical equipments

Intézet: Institute of Aquatic Ecology
Year of commissioning of the infrastructure: 2016-2018

Summary

The instrumental analytical equipments are the following:

  • Dual Channel Ion Chromatography
  • Combustion Ion Chromatography
  • Total organic carbon and nitrogen analyzer
  • Microwave assisted digestion system
  • Inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometer
  • Ultra-high performance liquid chromatograph-mass spectrometer system

The analytical equipments allows the chemical characterization of environmental matrices (water, sediment, soil, atmospheric aerosol) focusing on the identification and quantification of inorganic and organic compounds such as cations, anions, sum parameters (total organic carbon, total nitrogen, total organic fluorine), and organic micro-pollutants (drug residues, per- and polyfluorinated alkyl compounds).
