The effect of precipitation change on plant biomass allocation

We study the legacy effect of an initial extreme drought and the effects of chronic precipitation changes (water addition, moderate and severe drought) on above- and belowground plant biomass pools and allocation in an open sand grassland. We also investigate the role of intraspecific responses and changes in species-composition induced by drought in the shift of community-level root mass fraction under chronic precipitation changes.
