Main profile:
The primary task of the research group is to study the structure, biological functions, and long-term changes of the aquatic and wetland habitats, their animal communities (zooplankton, macroinvertebrates, fish, amphibians, reptiles, waterbirds) in the watershed areas of the Danube and Tisza river. Our research globally examines the environmental effects of climate change, land use, water management, river regulation, agriculture and other human activities on ecosystems, as well as the management and restoration possibilities of their communities.
