Profile

My research focuses on phytoplankton diversity, with particular emphasis on the analysis of the spatial and temporal patterns and functioning of phytoplankton communities. One of the main directions of my research is the study of rare phytoplankton species in the Pannonian ecoregion. Another major research focus is the investigation of microalgal dispersal mechanisms, with special attention to biotic vectors, particularly the role of migratory waterbirds in the dispersal of phytoplankton species.
