Lisette N. de Senerpont Domis is head of the translational ecology group AKWa at the Netherlands Institute of Ecology (NIOO-KNAW). With her research group she explores how fundamental ecological concepts can be applied in solving water issues. She is interested in how different components of human-induced global changes, such as climate warming, eutrophication, and habitat fragmentation affect species interactions. Lisette is professor by special appointment at the University of Twente, holding a chair in “Smart ecological monitoring of aquatic systems”.
